Q: Are we allowed to wear our K High 4 Life t-shirts or our Kennedy class shirts to tryouts?
A: Yes, class shirts or K High 4 Life shirts are fine. Just no shirts with any cheer affiliations, and they must abide by the color guidelines as specified in the tryout packet.
Q: Can I wear white Vans / Converse to tryouts?
A: No. Cheer, or athletic / running type shoes only please.
Q: Do the spandex have to be Nike Pro? Or can they be any type of spandex?
A: They can be any type of black spandex - not brand-specific.
Q: Our GPA Has to be 2.0, right?
A: Yes. Athletes must maintain a 2.0 GPA (C) at all times. This includes the current GPA for incoming Freshmen athletes.
Q: Is tumbling mandatory? If I can't tumble, do I still have a chance of making the team?
A: Tumbling is not mandatory. Everyone has a chance - even those who have no tumbling experience. We are looking for athletes who are willing to learn, work hard, have a positive attitude, and who are great teammates!

Q: What should we wear to tryouts?
A:
Participants must wear the following to the Tryout Clinics:
○ Green, gold, or white t-shirt/tank top - no cheer teams on t-shirts/tank tops please
○ Black shorts/spandex (Nike Pro type)
○ No show socks with cheer shoes or athletic running shoes
○ Hair must be pulled back in a slicked, high ponytail
○ No jewelry (earrings, belly button rings, necklaces, etc)
○ Fingernails must be fingertip length - no acrylics
Participants must wear the following to Tryout Day:
○ White t-shirt/tank top only - no cheer teams on t-shirts/tank tops please
○ Black shorts/spandex (Nike Pro type)
○ No show socks with cheer shoes or athletic running shoes
○ Hair must be pulled back in a slicked, high ponytail with a green, gold, or white bow/ribbon
○ No jewelry (earrings, belly button rings, necklaces, etc)
○ Fingernails must be fingertip length (no acrylics) and no nail polish
○ Performance make-up
Q: Do we need our physical completed by tryouts?
A: Yes, turn in your completed physical form on the first day of tryouts. Contact Mrs. Staton with questions.
Q: Will there be a Frosh team?
A: There is a possibility there could be a Frosh / Soph team. We won't know for sure until after tryouts.
Q: What type of material will we be learning at tryouts?
A: Athletes will be learning cheers and a short dance. They will also be working on jumps, stunts, and tumbling.
